MEP Designer

Our MEP Designers are responsible for basic Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design on assigned projects. They must establish and maintain relationships with all team members and management staff. This is an entry-level position with our firm and a great place to get exposure to our firm's design process.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing design on all assigned projects.
    • Interface and coordinate with the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and any other production staff needing support.
    • Work with a design team on multiple projects providing AutoCAD/Revit and design support with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    • Read and interpret construction drawings, owner criteria and understand all aspects of the existing or current conditions of the space.
       

Project manager

Our Project Managers are responsible for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design on assigned projects. They are responsible for managing changes to the project scope and schedule, and creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation on each project from start to finish. Our Project Managers must maintain relationships with all clients and employees, and meet all required deadlines.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing design on all assigned projects.
    • Manage changes to the project scope and project schedule.
    • Relay information to the design/production team.
    • Work with team on multiple projects, providing AutoCAD/Revit design support with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
    • Read and interpret construction drawings, owner criteria and understand all aspects of the existing or current conditions of the space.
    • Prepared for all meetings and site visits, including meetings with Clients, Architects, Engineers, Local Jurisdictions, Contractors and Owners.

    • Resolve client related issues, potential problems within critical deadlines.
    • Maintain all records and files pertaining to the assigned projects.
    • Perform Site Survey/Observations for projects overseen, including required construction administrative tasks.

The DPCE Internship Program offers a paid internship for college students looking to get hands on experience in the industry. Depending on our available positions, our interns work along side our designers, attend surveys and learn the MEP design process from start to finish.

You must be able to earn college credit in order to be considered for the program.
